Bassvictim's new single is in Polish
Jagódki (Blueberries) arrived 4 September on VOTB — Bassvictim's first release since March, and the first with a Polish title.
Bassvictim released Jagódki (Blueberries) on 4 September via VOTB — their first since Tato freestyle in May, and the first carrying a Polish title.
It is less of a departure than it looks. Bassvictim is Maria Manow, a Polish-English singer-songwriter, alongside Ike Clateman — so this is a first language surfacing rather than a stylistic detour. Jagódki is Polish for blueberries.
The release history so far this year:
| Date | Release | Format |
|---|---|---|
| 4 September | Jagódki (Blueberries) | single |
| 14 May | Tato freestyle | single |
| 6 March | ? | album, 8 tracks |
| 4 March | Year of the Dragon | single |
Four releases across six months, with the album in March as the centre of it. All on VOTB.
Bassvictim have 711,592 monthly listeners and placed at number 49 on Pitchfork's fifty best albums of 2025 with Forever. Ike Clateman also plays bass in Team Werewolf, alongside Leo Fincham of Worldpeace DMT.
